Statement of Faith (Essential Beliefs)

Global Pathways Foundation is rooted in historic Christian faith as revealed in the Holy Scriptures. The following beliefs are considered essential to our identity, mission, and educational work. We welcome families from a variety of traditions and cultures, steadfastly grounding our instruction, leadership, and community life in the following theological foundations.

1. God

We believe in one God, eternally existing as the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

2. Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, sent by the Father for the salvation of the world. Through His life, sacrificial death on the cross, bodily resurrection, and victorious reign, reconciliation with God is made possible.
(John 1:1, 14; Colossians 1:15–20; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Romans 5:8)

3. Scripture

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the authoritative source of truth, revealing God’s character, purposes, and will for faith and life.
(2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12)

4. Humanity and Sin

We believe that all people are created in the image of God with inherent dignity and worth, yet humanity is affected by sin, which separates us from God and distorts our relationships with Him, one another, and creation.
(Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 53:6)

5. Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. This grace calls us to repentance, restores our relationship with God, and invites us into new life.
(Ephesians 2:8–9; John 3:16–17; 2 Corinthians 5:17–21; Romans 10:9–10)

6. The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells within believers, guiding, convicting, transforming, and empowering them to live lives that honor God.
(John 14:26; Galatians 5:22–23; Acts 1:8; Titus 3:5)

7. The Church and Mission

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, grow in discipleship, and participate in God’s mission. The Great Commission calls believers to make disciples of all nations through faithful witness, service, and love.
(Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 4:11–16; 1 Peter 2:9)

Essential and Non-Essential Beliefs

Global Pathways Foundation affirms unity in these essential beliefs while recognizing that faithful Christians may hold differing convictions on secondary theological matters. We seek to model humility, charity, and mutual respect in areas where Scripture allows for diversity of interpretation.
(Romans 14:1–5; Ephesians 4:2–6)

Faith in Practice

Our beliefs shape not only what we affirm, but how we live, teach, and serve as a community.

  • We submit ourselves to God in humility, acknowledging His absolute goodness and authority.
    (James 4:7–10; Micah 6:8)

  • We believe that truth is found in God’s Word and revealed through His character.
    (John 17:17; Psalm 19:7–8)

  • We embrace the Great Commission as a call to disciple people throughout the world.
    (Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8)

  • We affirm stewardship of God’s creation as a responsibility entrusted to humanity.
    (Genesis 2:15; Psalm 24:1)

  • We seek to reflect the love of Christ—gentle, gracious, accountable, and receptive to contrition—in all that we do.
    (John 1:14; Ephesians 4:15; Galatians 6:1)

In all things, we desire to be a community marked by faithfulness, compassion, and integrity, forming lives that honor God and serve others.
(Colossians 3:12–17; 1 Corinthians 10:31)
